Daniel Schiels is a Connecticut-based education consultant with extensive experience in areas of education development and literacy curriculum research. He has held such roles as arts enrichment director with Learning Spring School in New York City, special education department liaison for the New York City Department of Education, and special education teacher in the AIIM Program with Southern Westchester Board of Cooperative Educational Services. From 2021 to 2024, Daniel K. Schiels supported curriculum development as an educator at several Stamford Public Schools, including district elementary, middle, and high schools.
In addition to his work in education, Daniel Schiels has published numerous articles in Hartford Magazine, Connecticut Business Journal, and Home Living Connecticut, among other publications. He earned a Funds For Teacher Fellowship Award for his research in areas of nature-based literacy development in Fairfield County autism communities.
Daniel K. Schiels holds a master of arts in education from New York City’s Touro University. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. Apart from his work in education, he supports community organizations such as the Easton, Connecticut Cub Scouts chapter and the Park Slope Food Co-op in Brooklyn.
